U.S. Open hero, Juan Martin del Potro led the Cup on the Empire State Building!
The winner of the U.S. Open, Juan Martin del Potro, was posed with the trophy ‘stolen’ from Roger Federer of the Empire State Building in New York City.
At a height of 450 meters, del Potro 20 years could not help himself not to remember how he ‘upset’ the king of the U.S. Open and world number 1 player, Roger Federer.
“When I remember the game ball and now my hair on the hand go up!” said Del Potro!
Del Potro is the first Argentine and South American to win the U.S. Open after Guillermo Vilas in 1977. He becomes the first player from outside Europe to win a Grand Slam after compatriot Gaston Gaudio at Roland-Garros in 2005.
