The penultimate race of the season brought the Italian Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) 3rd in the Sepang race after Casey Stoner (Ducati) and Dani Pedrosa (Honda). A  good enough position for the living legend of motorcycling to win a world title again.

At Sepang, Rossi was a sensation. The 30-year-old Italian has won his ninth title, holding the record with seven world titles at the queen class, captured in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009, one in 250 cc in 1999 and another at 125 cc in 1997.

Valentino’s debut at the World Championship Racing Speed was in 1996 and managed to get 103 wins, 77 of them obtained the highest grade, 162 podiums and 58 departures from pole position. An impressive business card.
